What makes a drug raid really fun? Wii Bowling!
So you’re a drug enforcement cop on a raid. It’s a high-stress, dangerous job. When you score the goods, it’s adrenalin-pumping experience. But for members of the Polk County (Tampa Bay) Drug Task Force finding the drugs wasn’t nearly so exciting as finding Wii Bowling in the suspect’s home. They bowled strikes. They jumped for joy like little kids. And the whole thing was captured on hidden video the cops apparently forgot about.

One male officer is so consumed with glii after he knocks down some virtual pins that he looks like Kevin James celebrating the fact that he’s met a girl who finds him attractive. It could not be described as either rhythmic or aesthetically appealing. One lady drugbuster is cataloging evidence, but is overcome by her need to Wii several times.
The defense attorney says the high-energy action invalidated the terms of the search warrant. The police chief disputes that, saying the search was executed properly from a “legal sense” but concedes:
We didn’t conduct ourselves as we should have by playing the Wii Bowling game.
