Hollywood seeks to block Pirate Bay sale

No surprise here: The Wall Street Journal reports that Hollywood is seeking an injunction blocking The Pirate Bay from selling itself to Global Gaming.

Meanwhile, News.com reports that Wayne Rosso, the former Grokster exec hired by GG to manage the legitimization of TPB, has backed out of the deal based on money fears.

“I and my colleagues have very strong doubts that the funding is in place,” Rosso said. “And there are other issues regarding (GG CEO) Mr. (Hans) Pandeya’s credibility that trouble us greatly.”

If hollywood wants to block the sale of the Pirate Bay, then go ahead... I mean after all the bay is a torrent site, but maybe after careful consideration they should not stop it... if they are no lon... (Read the rest)
