Amazon is targeting state and federal government as a major new client for its cloud services. TechFlash found this job posting on Amazon’s site:

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing relationships with government organizations and ecosystem partners? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider in the federal, state and DOD communities?”

How far will the newly tech-savvy federal government go in embracing such services? And is Amazon or any other cloud service really ready for the responsibility of government work?
